We are seeking an Associate to join the Healthcare Lending team.
This role supports portfolio management of the existing Healthcare
Lending business, evaluation of new lending opportunities, market
and industry research, and maintenance of strong client
relationships. The successful candidate will have a post-secondary
degree in finance, business or a related field, strong analytical
and organizational skills, and excellent written and verbal
communication abilities. Prior experience in healthcare lending or
commercial lending is considered an asset. At CIBC we enable the

Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote
work) will be discussed at the time of your interview. How You'll
Succeed Analyze and opine on the financial statements of borrowers
and prospects, evaluating their overall condition and viability
using CIBC’s financial models. Engage with clients and prospects to
collect routine information and address ongoing portfolio
management requirements. Prepare loan presentations and credit
approval documentation for all required credit actions Complete
risk analyses of borrowers and prospects using the CIBC risk rating
model Manage CIBC’s client relationship database for existing
transactions and future prospects Develop skills to appropriately
structure deals including setting covenants and reporting
requirements Conduct market research comparing clients to local
market peers Who You Are You have 3 years of demonstrated
experience in Commercial Banking You have developed knowledge of
regulatory expectations and industry best practices in risk
management You are a strong team player and able to work with
productively with colleagues towards common goals You have
excellent written and verbal communication skills You are a strong
analytical and problem solving skills You are results oriented with
a high degree of attention to detail Formal Credit Training At
CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has
an expected salary range of $75,000 - $90,000 for the market based
on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The
successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant
business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include
