Role: Operations Manager of Openings: 1 Job Type: Full-Time /
Permanent Location: Chicago, IL Compensation: $55,000-$75,000 per
year Job Overview Our client, a rapidly growing, electric vehicle
(EV) charger solution provider and electrical contracting company,
is looking to bring on an Operations Manager as they continue to
scale their business. This hire will be a key member of their
leadership team in driving internal efficiency and structure across
all departments. This is a full-time, permanent role with our
client. Job Responsibilities Project & Schedule Management: Oversee
day-to-day project pipeline across residential and commercial jobs
Coordinate project start dates, closeout procedures, inspections,
and timelines Ensure weekly scheduling of crews is optimized for
efficiency Troubleshoot scheduling conflicts or bottlenecks and
resolve them proactively Team Oversight & Workflow Coordination:
Ensure electricians, apprentices, sales reps, and admins have clear
direction and objectives Conduct weekly check-ins with each
department to monitor progress and remove blockers Track
accountability through KPIs and operational scorecards Material &
Vendor Coordination: Confirm materials are ordered on time and
delivered to job sites without delay Maintain organized records for
all vendor purchases, contractor assignments, and material receipts
CRM & Process Compliance: Ensure the CRM is being updated properly
by all departments (sales, admin, field) Monitor opportunity
pipelines and ensure project statuses reflect real-time updates
Create internal SOPs for recurring tasks to ensure operational
consistency Invoicing, Permits & Job Closeouts: Track completion of
jobs and ensure required documentation (photos, inspections,
signatures) is uploaded Work with admin team to ensure invoicing
and permit coordination is timely and accurate Cross-Department
Communication: Liaise between the sales, field, and admin teams
Hold weekly operations meetings and report progress to ownership
Flag potential issues or inefficiencies before they become serious
Role Requirements: At least three years of project or operations
management experience within residential construction or electrical
services Experience managing personnel, including goal-setting and
accountability Experience reviewing, refining, and improving
standard operating procedures Experience establishing systems that
streamline daily operations, such as CRMS Must be driven,
results-oriented, and highly organized Must have exceptional
communication skills Electrical or field operations experience in
EV or renewable energy sectors is a plus About Us With nearly two
