Job Description:

Insight Global is seeking a Hybrid Senior Product Upstream Marketing Manager for one of our largest Medical Device clients. This person can be located in our Versailles, Ohio or Buffalo Grove, IL locations and would be expected to be onsite 2-3x week. The will help develops, executes and manages customer research, competitive analysis, business cases and product portfolios helping drive the development and execution of divisional strategy through products and services.ESSENTIAL/PRIMARY DUTIES:Leads direct reports and mentors/coaches other teammates Leads organization in building and improving upstream product management processes, techniques and best practices Assists in development and execution of divisional strategic plan Directly responsible for all forms of customer research and customer value confirmation (qualitative, quantitative, primary, secondary, online surveys, in-depth interviews, focus groups, pricing analysis, conjoint analysis and etc.)o Make this a requirement? Participates in immersive/observational research within clinical settings to develop clinical insight Gathers, manages and evaluates concepts, ideas and suggestions for new products and services from research, trade shows, customers, competition, channel partners, key opinion leaders and teammates Analyzes, translates and presents research information and recommends through business cases new products and services Creates product portfolio roadmap to provide visibility to future product concepts and technology needs Works with a broad team of development resources including industrial design, engineering, and user experience specialists to define and validate concepts that satisfy unmet customer needs. Directly responsible for voice of the customer and product differentiation through the various phases of development cycle. Communicates with various functional leads during development cycle Collaborates with finance on new projects to develop financial models to determine if project meets return-on-investment guidelines Collaborates with product development or Agile Scrum teams in balancing tradeoffs between customer needs, technical risks, scope, product cost and development timelines Partners with corporate development to assess potential partnerships or acquisitions and participates on due diligence and integration teams Minimum RequirementsTHE IDEAL CANDIDATE SOFT SKILLS: Ability to work with and motivate cross-functional teams Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong presentation skills Critical thinking and reasoning skills Ability to analyze models Demonstrated ability to identify and realize new opportunities Demonstrated leadership skills May lead a team/ have direct reports at some time MUST HAVES: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a business or technical field need to have a bachelors (Marketing, Engineering or NPD degree ++) 6-7 or more years of related experience:o Ability to conduct, prioritize and synthesize customer researcho Able to be a strong advocate of customer through development processo Ability to develop and analyze financial modelso Experience with all forms of customer research and customer value confirmation (qualitative, quantitative, primary, secondary, online surveys, in-depth interviews, focus groups, pricing analysis, conjoint analysis and etc.) Desired SkillsMBA Clinical insights experience participating in immersive/observational research within clinical settings to develop clinical insight Technical competency is desirable Jira for Project Manager, Excel
