Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1 year of
Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do
not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is sought for an academic
contract position serving students in a specialized educational
cooperative in the Chicago area. This role supports K-12 classrooms
within several districts providing services to children with Autism
and Intellectual Disabilities through Structured Learning
Environment (SLE) programs. Locations span multiple schools in
suburban Chicago, including Willowbrook High School in Villa Park,
Addison Trail High School in Addison, Maercker Intermediate School
in Westmont, and PrairieView Elementary School in Downers Grove.
Assignments involve managing caseloads of approximately 3-4
self-contained classrooms, each comprising 6-8 students. Key
Responsibilities: Deliver speech-language therapy services tailored
to students with Autism and Intellectual Disabilities within the
SLE program. Collaborate with special education teams to implement
individualized education plans (IEPs). Conduct assessments,
document progress, and adjust therapy goals regularly. Maintain
compliance with state regulations and district policies.
Communicate effectively with educators, parents, and administration
to support student development. Qualifications and Experience:
Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech
Endorsement. Current state Speech-Language Pathology license.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, though Clinical
Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates are also considered. Experience
working with children in special education settings, particularly
those with Autism and Intellectual Disabilities. Strong
organizational and interpersonal skills. Position Details: Contract
duration: Immediate start through approximately May 28, 2025 (based
on assignment). Full-time schedule averaging 35 to 37.5 hours per
week. On-site work at multiple school locations; no virtual work
