Wisconsin (CUW) invites applications for a full-time, 12-month
faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the
Department of Physical Therapy, within the School of Health
Professions. We seek a mission-driven, dynamic, and
student-centered individual with a passion for teaching,
scholarship, and service within the field of Physical Therapy
education. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong
commitment to the Christian mission of the University and will
integrate a biblical worldview into academic instruction and
professional practice. All Concordia faculty are members of
Christian congregations. Job Duties & Responsibilities Collaborate
with the Program Chair and core faculty in curriculum development
and review Teach in areas aligned with expertise. Preferred
teaching responsibilities include acute care, geriatrics,
integumentary, pediatrics, and/ or movement science content with
opportunities to teach in other areas Provide course coordination
and assessment, including day-to-day course management Advise and
mentor students throughout the academic program Participate in the
CAPTE accreditation process Contribute to the University's
scholarship expectations through: Peer-reviewed research and
publication Grant writing and submission Creative and scholarly
achievements Provide meaningful service to the university,
department, and the physical therapy profession or similar
profession Assist with student recruitment, orientation, and
retention initiatives Serve on university and departmental
committees Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Ability to teach across the curriculum in both traditional and
bridge DPT programs Demonstrated integration of faith and learning
in education Strong verbal and written communication skills
Commitment to excellence in higher education teaching Supportive of
the mission and values of Concordia University Wisconsin/Ann Arbor
and the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS) Education &
Experience Earned terminal academic degree (PhD or equivalent) and
content specialist required or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT)
degree or Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) degree from a
CAPTE-accredited program and PhD Minimum of 3 years of clinical
experience in physical therapy Current licensure or eligibility for
licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of Wisconsin
Demonstrated ability to meet CAPTE and university scholarly output
expectations ABPTS certification preferred Higher education
teaching experience Service to the profession at the local, state,
