You will be responsible for encouraging children’s intellectual, psychological, and physical growth. The ideal candidate is nurturing, patient, and creative. Desired Skills and Experience: - CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain - Active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential (Preferred or willing to obtain) - Completed 6 core ECE Units Infant/toddler OR Associates Degree in Child Development - Must be physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors - Have the ability to engage physically, visually, and compassionately with not only children, but their parents and your peers. - Classroom management skills: ability to ensure a safe and engaging environment, - All center staff applicants must meet Illinois specific guidelines for the role Responsibilites: - Evaluate student progress with classroom Lead and Co-Teachers - Plan curriculum with varying developmental needs with Lead and Co-Teachers - Track academic performance with Lead and Co-Teachers - Be mentored by Lead and or Co-Teacher if Co-Teacher is qualified to Lead. - Meet with parents to discuss the needs and goals of students - Meet with Lead and Co-Teachers in the classroom weekly for lesson planning development
