Job SummarySupport our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Engineering Technician located in US Illinois Buffalo Grove Reporting to the Engineering Service Manager, the Engineering Technician involves: What a typical day looks like:

• Support installation, testing and qualification of new equipment and equipment projects
• Provide on-site support at equipment suppliers' sites during machine build, debug, testing & qualification
• Established as an SME in assigned work area(s)
• Performs complex engineering tests, checkouts, and development engineering tasks
• Analyzes engineering test results and implements changes to resolve problems.
• Collects data, analyzes results and implements procedures
• Document equipment issues and propose robust solutions
• Development of preventative and predictive maintenance procedures
• Use of advanced problem-solving techniques to address issues with machines and processes
• Advanced troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical and controls systems
• Experience in a technology-based industry, where automated assembly techniques are utilized
• Knowledge of automated equipment systems and tools - robotics, vision, material handling, Conveyors, PLC, HMI, Pick-Place-Pack, Inspection/Test The experience we're looking to add to our team:
  • Support creation of engineering documentation required to implement changes and improvements
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Support the training and development of other technicians
  • Support validation activities for new equipment and equipment updates
  • May direct other employees, functioning as a working supervisor with large scope of responsibility
  • Provide ongoing manufacturing support
  • Drive activities to improve OEE of equipment
  • Participate in engineering activities as required by engineering/project team The experience we're looking to add to our team:
    • BS in Engineering, Mechatronics training or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum 10 years' installation, maintenance & troubleshooting of complex manufacturing equipment. 5% travel required,
