Job Description Job Description Test Technician Pay Rate: $26.40 – $30.80 per hour Shift Openings: 2nd Shift: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM 3rd Shift: 11:30 PM – 7:30 AM Position Overview Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Test Technician to support troubleshooting, repair, and continuous improvement of production test systems in a manufacturing environment. This role is part of the Test Department and provides hands-on exposure to advanced test equipment, failure analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. The Test Technician plays a key role in maintaining test station performance, diagnosing root causes of failures, and supporting Test Engineers to ensure reliable, high-quality production. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot and resolve sustaining production test issues escalated from Repair Technicians Diagnose test and product failures, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions Monitor, maintain, and improve test station performance, including test equipment procurement and upkeep Support ORT (On-Going Reliability Testing) and RDT (Reliability Demonstration Testing); report findings to Test Engineers Create, document, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for operators and testers Analyze RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) test fallout and coordinate with vendors on failure analysis results Maintain accurate records of test issues, failures, and corrective actions Assist Test Engineers with test station setup, modeling, pre-pilot, and pilot production runs Support daily production needs and perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Ability to read and interpret test logs and diagnostic data Basic working knowledge of Linux/UNIX environments Experience working with network equipment such as switches and related hardware Familiarity with computer hardware components including CPUs, NICs, and memory Ability to work extended hours and occasional weekends as production needs require Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical tasks including walking, standing, bending, and occasional climbing Willingness to work in environments with moderate physical risks while following safety guidelines Why Work With Our Client Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance Employer-paid basic life insurance and short-term disability coverage Optional supplemental life insurance and long-term disability plans 401(k) plan with employer contribution Paid personal time, vacation, and holidays for full-time employees Onsite Health & Wellness Center available to employees Ongoing learning and career growth opportunities in smart manufacturing About Our Client Our client is a global leader in smart manufacturing and industrial internet solutions, delivering advanced automation and digital manufacturing technologies at scale.
