This position is pivotal in maintaining the effectiveness and efficiency of Ryder's diverse fleet of transport vehicles. As a diesel mechanic, you'll be instrumental in ensuring that our logistics operations run smoothly by conducting maintenance and repairs on a variety of diesel engines. You'll work in a dynamic environment where innovation and proactive problem-solving are valued. Our workshop is fully equipped with the latest tools and technologies, emphasizing a culture of safety and continuous learning. Perform routine and preventative maintenance on diesel engines and vehicle components Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems Conduct diagnostics to discover functionality issues Maintain a record of services performed and parts used Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations Collaborate with other team members to foster an efficient and productive work environment Profound knowledge of diesel engine components and systems Ability to use diagnostic tools and software efficiently Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Experience with electronic logging devices Good communication and teamwork abilities Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Valid ASE Diesel Certification Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is preferred but not required
