-- Purpose Statement: The Global Warehousing Manager is responsible for providing direction and oversight in the areas of inventory control, warehousing and logistics. This position will act as a liaison between corporate supply chain and the site warehousing and inventory control teams to ensure that warehousing solutions are implemented and executed. Provides site support with warehouse systems, and reviewing and updating required documentation. Serves as a training support and evaluation of process standardization against expected best practices in warehouse operations. This role will focus on leading processes and will not have direct reports. Key Job Accountabilities:

  • CUSTOMER SERVICE EXCELLENCE: Demonstrate focus on customer service with internal and external customers. Ensures the warehouse teams are well-educated and compliant with all applicable elements of their respective customers' inventory management and control requirements. This includes ensuring the customer focus warehouse teams are adequately adhering to all required processes and procedures, while promoting Plexus flexibility and liability management.
  • CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT: Collaborate with regional and corporate supply chain to ensure best in class process and standard work propagation in core functions. Identify and drive continuous improvement in all areas within the warehouse organization to maintain material labor cost at an optimum level and maximize productivity while driving a lean culture within the site.
  • INVENTORY OPTIMIZATION - Ensure robust warehousing and inventory control processes are in place and fully utilized to facilitate an optimum inventory position which supports the production plan as well as Plexus working capital requirements. This effort must be balanced with a keen focus on achieving customer service level requirements.
  • METRICS MANAGEMENT: Ensure warehouse operations and productivity goals for the materials organization are understood by all related individuals within the site. Monitor and measure effectiveness and adjust as necessary to attain organizational and customer goals while ensuring operational excellence. Additional Accountabilities:
    • Coordinate testing and implementation of IT solutions for warehouse system enhancements.
    • Mentor Warehousing and Inventory Control personnel assigned to manufacturing sites.
    • As required, lead and/or support high priority, immediate needs projects.
    • Lead problem resolution, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
    • Drive change management initiatives to deliver sustainable business and operational improvements.
    • Assure training of personnel and adherence to standard operating procedures, work instructions and specific function education.
    • Periodic travel may be required to meet the needs of the business (estimated 25%).
    • Additional duties as assigned. Education/Experience Qualifications:
      • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required; a Graduate degree is preferred.--
      • Five (5) years of related experience is required; Three (3) or more years of progressive related management experience is preferred.
      • Knowledge in Oracle JDE preferred.
      • Knowledge and experience with WMS applications is required, JDE WMS a plus. An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered. Other Qualifications:--
        • Ability to provide leadership, direction and guidance to members of the operations management team.
        • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
        • Good oral and written communication skills are necessary.
        • Excellent organizational skills, leadership qualities, computer literacy, electronic industry knowledge and ability to supervise.
        • Passion for customer and operational excellence that translates to members of the customer focus material teams to effectively implement customer strategy.
        • Proficiency and demonstration of the Plexus Values and Leadership Competencies.
        • General office equipment and materials.
