Job DescriptionThe Executive Director, Enterprise MarTech Operations plays a critical leadership role on a team accountable for onboarding, managing, and enhancing MarTech platforms, vendors, and capabilities to deliver cross-enterprise experiences, reduce total cost of ownership, and increase return on investment over the next several years. This individual will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day operations across our various MarTech properties. This may include, but is not limited to, Vendor Management & Contracts, Budgets, Procurement and Portfolio Management. In addition, this individual will be responsible for working closely with Corporate Finance to establish a chargeback model and collaborate with Marketing Operations teams to develop governance and operating models to ensure our Marketing organizations get access to platforms across our MarTech stack. Ultimately this leader is responsible for designing, implementing, and operating the management processes that ensure high quality colleague experiences with our MarTech stack and represented vendors. To achieve this, this individual will lead and develop a team to work closely with members of digital product management, corporate finance, strategic sourcing, marketing operations, digital engineering and architecture, as well as a range of additional digital, business, operations leaders to ensure quality execution and communication of MarTech priorities and vendor relationships. Accordingly, defining and then following standard processes and best practices in concert with other individuals and groups will be critical to success. In particular, this individual will have to implement new operating models and routines to ensure rigorous operational monitoring and oversight of vendor licensing and internal usage. As such, this person has to be passionate about being engaged in the details of technology, implementations and ongoing monitoring of stakeholder needs to lead in a highly effective manner cross-functionally to achieve shared objectives and grow a team of leaders underneath them to support this transformation. Specific responsibilities for this role include: Vendor Management Establish relationships with all MarTech vendors and external partners to ensure we have measurable business metrics, KPIs and governance processes to determine health of platforms and usage Refine and develop operations processes that continually enhance, improve, and proactively monitor and measure health and performance of MarTech stack Work closely with stakeholders and procurement to facilitate RFP processes Develop close relationships with internal partners to maximize ROI from BAU functionality Establish detailed KPIs and metrics to track and report on performance and team effectiveness, and then transform these data into insights and strategy Establish and maintain inventory of platforms, vendors and capabilities represented within our CVS Health MarTech stackBudget/Finance Align organizational priorities against MarTech budget and work with key Marketing Operations leaders to monitor the budget and reconcile issues or answer questions Work closely with Corporate Finance and business unit Finance directors to review licensing contracts and budgets Own the MarTech budget process, working directly with VP of Marketing Platforms & Capabilities to establish annual budget and corresponding reporting Work directly with Strategic Sourcing/Procurement to establish contract and renewal strategies Become a subject matter expert on MarTech vendor capabilities to support MarTech leadership as they work closely with Digital Product Office leads to align priorities Contract & License Management Manage inventory of platform licenses, contracts & budgets Work closely with Marketing Operations leads to develop administrative and governance routines to manage vendor licenses Partner with MarTech Product Office to support onboarding processes, ensuring stakeholders have access to licensing and usage reporting Align vendor contract renewals with MarTech Roadmap and implementation or migration plansPortfolio Management Support MarTech Product Office activities like Intake by applying formal rubrics and measurements for prioritization Responsible for strategies to reduce total cost of ownership (TCO) for all MarTech platforms Use knowledge of vendors, contracts, and licensing to Influence the overall roadmap and prioritization Ensure MarTech & Marketing Ops leaders have transparency of release plans, roadmaps, and communications from vendors Partner with digital product development and product management teams as well as IT partners to ensure processes, roles and responsibilities for MarTech vendor management are extremely high quality and transparent Organizational Influence and Team Development Engage a wide range of executives as well as business and technology partners through:o Passionate, inspired leadershipo Energetic partnering and relationship development across the organization o Regular impactful communication of progress and impacto Develop ongoing change-management programs to ensure organizational alignment and support for MarTech operations initiatives and opportunitieso Develop and lead a world-class team who partners cross-functionally with business, operational, Digital and IT partners to maximize our stackPay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:Minimum: 131,500Maximum: 289,300Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.Required Qualifications 10+ years of experience in large, matrixed organizations building highly functioning, diverse teams 10+ years of experience managing budgets and financial analysis within technology organizations. 5+ years in MarTech or technology support roles, either directly involved in the platforms and capabilities or leading teams responsible for daily support 5+ years of experience MarTech vendors, especially Adobe, Salesforce, Oracle, Stensul and LiveRamp 10+ years of demonstrated Procurement best practices within a highly matrixed organization and experience managing large RFP projects 10+ years of experience using analytical and quantitative skills, including the ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and recommendations 10+ years of experience working independently, lead initiatives, establish strong working relationships, as well as partnering with VP-level stakeholdersPreferred Qualifications Ability to consistently act with urgency and while remaining adaptive to changing priorities, decisive under ambiguity, and meeting compressed timelines Demonstrated ability in taking on end-to-end ownership of projects and successfully delivering results in a highly matrixed organization Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate rationale and needed courses of action to engage diverse audiences and influence executivesEducationMinimum Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Information Science, Technology or MarketingBusiness OverviewBring your heart to CVS Health Every one of us at CVS Health shares a single, clear purpose: Bringing our heart to every moment of your health.
