The Manager-Tax Compliance will own and manage the end-to-end federal and state corporate income tax compliance process, including management of in-house staff responsible for workpaper preparation and tax return review, and outside advisors responsible for tax return preparation. This role is also responsible for preparing schedules and analyses in support of the tax provision, supporting tax audits, and supporting M&A due diligence and integration.

How you will spend your days as a Manager of Tax Compliance:

* Manage the preparation and review of the following federal and state corporate income tax compliance processes:
* Workpapers to support tax returns prepared by outside advisors, including depreciation and apportionment
* Taxable income calculations

* Manage the tax compliance calendar including review and updating as part of the quarterly tax provision process
* Manage the preparation of, and review, schedules for year-end and quarterly income tax provisions (ASC 740), including reconciliation of income tax related accounts on the general ledger
* Coordinate with finance staff and effectively communicate with operating entities to obtain data needed for workpapers and tax accounting schedules
* Assist with tax audits, preparation of responses to notices, and other tax related inquiries
* Manage and approve tax journal entries and tax account reconciliations
* Assist with special projects.
* Perform tax research in support of tax planning and compliance, and prepare technical memos in support of conclusions and provide recommendations to tax management
* Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement within the compliance and provision process, especially with respect to utilization of technology
* Identify and pursue all feasible tax savings opportunities and minimize all tax liabilities based on analysis of applicable substantial authority for positions
* Support SOX compliance for the Tax area
* Assist tax management in maintaining current relationships with external consultants as well as relationships with other finance teams and operating units with whom we collaborate

We want you to join the team if you can check these boxes:

* Bachelors Degree with a preference for Accounting, Finance, or Economics
* CPA, MST, or JD are preferred
* 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in either a corporation and/or public accounting firm
* ASC 740 experience is a plus
* Attention to detail with good organizational and problem-solving skills
* Strong communication skills, both orally and written
* Advanced technology skills (advanced Excel formulas and experience with Alteryx is a plus)
* Strong desire and dedication to continuous improvement.
* Energetic and collaborative attitude with demonstrated ability to work in a deadline-driven environment
* Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities
* Ability to travel and perform according to the requirements of the position

Our company is currently subject to the OSHA ETS. As a result, you will be required to provide proof of vaccination or face covering requirements and possibly weekly testing in the future.
