Job Description:
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty:
Med-Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift:
12 Experience: Inpatient RN travelers must have completed two years
of acute care experience within the last three years in the
specialty they are applying for. License: Traveler must possess an
active nursing license or compact license from their permanent
address state. Certifications: BLS must be certified through the
American Heart Association only. Traveler will be required to pass
a Telemetry test prior to starting. Must-Have: Basic Arrhythmia
experience is required. Traveler's permanent address must be within
50 miles of the assigned primary worksite. Travelers are the first
to float and may have shifts scheduled in multiple units based on
staffing needs. Orientation consists of 20 hours of training.
Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse to provide
high-quality, evidence-based care. Utilize critical thinking skills
to evaluate and assess patients. Recognize and escalate
complications. Administer appropriate nursing interventions while
demonstrating commitment to patient and family-centered care.
Partner with dynamic multidisciplinary teams including nurses,
nursing assistants, therapists, and medical teams. Hone
interpersonal communication skills and effectively delegate tasks
as needed. Serve as a mentor and role model with opportunities to
precept new nurses and students. Engage in strategic planning
efforts, quality improvement, and other governance activities.
Orientation will occur every other week, typically on a Monday,
with departmental specific schedules. Orientation location will be
provided upon arrival. Travelers will be subject to strict
pass/fail testing criteria. The telemetry exam must be passed with
high accuracy to begin the assignment. Competency renewal is
required to maintain active telemetry skills.
