qualified CVOR RN in Madison, Wisconsin, 53792! Pay Information
$2,812 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse
Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room
Duration: 17 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours
Experience: Must have two years of acute care experience within the
last three years in the specialty to which they are submitting.
Experience in thoracic, transplant, vascular, or cardiac is
required. Experience with multiple service lines including traumas,
transplant, cardiac, and peripheral vascular is highly preferred.
License: Valid nursing license or compact license from the
permanent address state is required. Certifications: BLS
certification through the American Heart Association is required.
Must-Have: Travelers must have completed the necessary experience
in their specialty. Orientation of 20 hours is required.
Description: The Registered Nurse will involve the
multidisciplinary team to plan for patient care in the operating
room in a timely manner. They will communicate and coordinate
operating room activities to facilitate efficiency in the surgical
case progression and turnover between cases. Travelers may have
shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on current staffing
needs. Shifts will typically be 12-hour block schedules, covering
both day and night hours. Weekend rotations and some holidays may
be required. The position requires that the traveler has an active
telemetry competency on file. Pass/fail testing is required with
strict passing criteria. A telemetry exam must be passed prior to
starting. The traveler will have two attempts to pass the telemetry
exam. If they do not pass the second attempt, a completion
certificate of a cardiac interpretation review course must be
submitted before a third attempt is assigned. Failure to pass after
three attempts will result in contract cancellation. Travelers will
orient according to specific department schedules. Orientation is
typically about one week long. The facility is a Magnet-designated
