Correctional experience preferred; ability to float within various
units Description: Position for a Registered Nurse in a
correctional setting. The shift consists of three 12-hour days,
running from 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM. No block scheduling
accommodations are available. This position requires the nurse to
work every other weekend, totaling two weekends per month. Requests
for time off are limited to 5 days, with no more than 2 consecutive
days. No time off is permitted on holidays, nor the day before or
after a holiday, and weekends are not available for time off
requests. Floating to different units may be required based on
facility needs. All nurses will be expected to float to different
areas as necessary, adhering to the discretion of the facility. The
facility has a mandatory float policy. Proof of vaccinations is
required one week prior to the start of the assignment, with no
exemptions permitted for the COVID-19 vaccine. The flu vaccine is
also required, with exceptions made only for medical or religious
reasons. Candidates are responsible for providing required
documentation within specified timelines. Responsive communication
is expected throughout the hiring process. The nurse must have
experience with medical/surgical patient care. Skills applicable to
this role include use of rapid response or code teams, peripheral
line care/manage, and oxygen administration. Additional experience
in isolation precautions and wound care is beneficial. This
position involves caring for adult patients within a correctional
