A Registered Nurse (RN) with acute care experience is sought to provide expert perioperative nursing care in a dynamic operating room setting. This contract opportunity involves contributing to a multidisciplinary team that delivers safe, efficient, and patient-centered care for complex surgical cases at a leading Magnet-designated hospital. Key responsibilities include: Collaborating with the surgical team to plan and coordinate patient care throughout the operative process Managing operating room activities to optimize efficiency and case turnover Delivering competent, safe nursing care aligned with established policies and clinical standards Adapting to floating assignments across multiple units or locations if staffing needs change Preferred clinical experience includes procedures such as HIPEC, Whipple, trauma surgery, colectomy, burns, laparoscopic and robotic surgeries (Da Vinci Xi), appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernia repairs, procurements, and kidney transplant cases. Candidates must have at least two years of recent acute care experience within the last three years. Qualifications: Valid Wisconsin nursing license or compact license from permanent address state BLS and ACLS certification through the American Heart Association Travelers permanent address must be within 50 miles of the work site Flexibility to float and work in various hospital departments as required Schedule: Days, 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts (06:40 AM 7:10 PM) This assignment is based at a top-ranked university hospital renowned for clinical excellence, pioneering surgical procedures, and educational leadership.
