Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Madison, WI Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,367 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/20/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Madison, Wisconsin, 53792! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: IMC Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in ICU or IMC required License: RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS required Must-Have: ICU or IMC and surgical post-operative experience required. Telemetry competency required with a successful completion of the Telemetry test. Description: The traveler will work in both the IMC Acute Med/Progressive Care unit and the IMC Thoracic unit. Evening and night shifts are required, Monday through Friday with every other weekend and some holidays. Experience in ICU, IMC, and surgical post-operative care is necessary. Candidates must have a willingness to work with IMC or general care patient populations. Thoracic experience is preferred. Candidates will be required to pass a Telemetry test prior to starting. Previous charge experience is preferred. Experience with patient ratios of 3:1 during days and nights is expected. The patient population includes adults and geriatrics, with a daily census of around 7 patients. Interdisciplinary support includes IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and more. The patient diagnoses will encompass lung and esophageal diseases, lobectomies, esophagectomies, and other thoracic procedures. Candidates should demonstrate strong teamwork, compassion, critical thinking, and an eagerness to acquire new skills.
