Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Madison, Wisconsin, 53792! Job
Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: IMC Acute
Med/Progressive Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per
Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years acute care experience
within the last 3 years in specialty License: RN license required
Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Telemetry oncology experience
Cardiac telemetry experience PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience
Ventilator experience Transplant experience Description: The
traveler will work in both IMC Acute Med/Progressive Care and IMC
Thoracic units. Working hours are from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. The
schedule is Monday through Friday with every other weekend and some
holidays required. Telemetry oncology, cardiac, and
PCU/DOU/IMC/stepdown experience is required. The traveler must have
experience in ventilator management and transplant care. A valid RN
license is required, either state-specific or a compact license.
BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory. The traveler will be
required to pass a telemetry test prior to starting the position.
This is a fast-paced environment where the nurse will provide care
to acutely ill patients. The unit accommodates patients with
multiple comorbidities and hemodynamic instability. Specialty
populations include patients with cystic fibrosis, pulmonary
hypertension, and post-lung transplant care. The nurse must work in
a collaborative environment with a multidisciplinary team. Critical
thinking and teamwork skills are essential for this role. The
patient ratio is generally 1:4 for general care and 1:2 for IMC
patients. Travelers should be ready to float based on staffing
needs. Weekend and holiday work will be part of the commitment. The
candidate must show strong proficiency in managing complex medical
needs. Travelers should have an active telemetry competency on
