Technical Design/Pattern Maker
A global supplier of industrial uniforms located in the northern
suburbs seeks an experienced technical assistant/pattern maker.
Must have strong knowledge of pattern making, grading and writing
Job Requirements-includes but not limited to the following:
4 year college degree or equivalent in apparel
Proficiency in use of PC and in MS Office Suite programs
(Office, Word, Excel and Outlook)
Must be familiar with Gerber AccuMark System minimum requirement
7.0 or newer. Must also be familiar with Fashion Illustration.
Familiarity in Adobe Illustrator a plus.
Must be able to operate industrial sewing machines: understand
how to construct a pattern including the ability to digitize a
garment. Must be able to sew a sample garment, and write the
corresponding specifications necessary for a contractor to sew the
Must be able to audit regular production comparing garments to
specifications supplied to vendors.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills ability to
interact and work with all levels within and outside of a dynamic
fast paced environment.
Strong organization skills and strict attention to detail
Must be able to work independently on projects with dead
Self starter ready to step in and quickly grasp new tasks. Able
to think outside the box and understand manufacturing flow.
Must be comfortable in a very fast paced environment. Also must
be able to take responsibility for daily interaction with an
