Intern

supports all functional and business activities, programs, and
initiatives. The Office of DEI is seeking a qualified intern
candidate to support its communications and activities remotely. As
a Summer Intern, you'll shadow and be part of the core team
responsible for DEI strategy and communications at Siemens USA. It
will be a unique learning experience.
In this role, your responsibilities will include (but are not
limited to):
* Providing support for the DEI management team regarding
communications, strategy implementation, and employee engagement
activities
* Assisting with capturing and writing employee stories that
demonstrate diversity and inclusion in the workplace
* Assisting with summer programs and campaigns such as Employee
Resource Group month in July
* Researching and recommending external thought leader events that
would position Siemens as a thought leader in the marketplace
* Drafting DE&I content to refresh internal website
* Assisting in the execution of internal employee communications,
including campaign announcements, employee messages, developing
PowerPoint presentations and editorial writing
* Brainstorming and providing ideas for content to be used to
amplify our messages and platforms
* Drafting internal communications, employee event materials,
strategy, and documentation in coordination with the employee
engagement team
* Collaborating with other local and global departments to
coordinate USA aligned strategies and deliverables
* Presenting to management, oral and/or written, reports and
proposals covering research topics. The job has many opportunities
only bounded by your demonstrated abilities.
* This role will work with multiple Siemens businesses and other
internal stakeholders
Required Knowledge, Skills and Education:
* Proficient working knowledge of applications of Microsoft Office
(Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint), as well as SharePoint or
other collaboration software
* Ability to work effectively with multinational and diverse group
and demonstrate leadership skills
* Ability to effectively manage and prioritize a variety of
concurrent activities
* Self-Starter with good time-management skills with the ability to
prioritize and meet deadlines
* Effective communicator, both written and oral
* Exceptional writing and editing skills
* Education: Current rising junior or rising senior undergraduate
students pursuing a BA/BS
* Majors: Communications, Marketing, Business Administration,
Journalism
* Work Authorization: Applicants must be legally authorized for
employment in the United States without need for current or future
employer-sponsored work authorization.
* Ability to work 40 hours per week
* Where permitted by applicable law, Siemens may require employees

Preferred Qualifications:
* Exposure to DEI activities within their school or community is a
plus
* Candidates may be requested to provide examples of PowerPoint
presentations and written work.
