We are a certified participant and contracted provider in the City of Milwaukee 911 system. We have nine locations in Milwaukee County, one in Waukesha County, and one in Racine County. We receive more than 120,000 calls per year.Job Title: IT System EngineerLocation: Milwaukee, WI (On-Site) Reports To: IT DirectorSummary: The Systems Engineer will design, develop, implement, and maintain complex systems, ensuring they function as intended and meet organizational needs. The work of this position, in cooperation with other IT and Bell staff, allows our EMS crews to provide the highest level of emergent care, while operating as the largest provider of ambulance services in the State of Wisconsin. Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:Manages and monitors all installed systems and infrastructure for Bell Ambulance to be in accordance with company guidelines or SOP'sDefines customers' needs and functionality in a service development cycleAssists in the coordination of various teams, testing and evaluating for the development of design and its implementation of the best (practices) outputEnsures the highest level of systems and infrastructure availabilityImplements warranty and support activitiesEvaluates the existing systems and provides the technical direction to IT Support staffPlans and implements system automation as required for better efficiencyOversees the development of customized software and hardware requirementsCollaborates with other professionals to ensure high quality deliverables within the organization guidelines, policies, and proceduresManages work processes, optimization methods, and risk management tools in the given projects for the successful accomplishments according to the requirements of Bell Ambulance stakeholdersSoft Skills:Driven to learn, uncover, understand, and challenge status quoEffective communication - deliver a message using business acumen with clarity and connect intended audienceCritical thinking - strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, using data and objectivity to make decisions and recommendationsResult oriented and sense of urgencyInterpersonal intelligence Time and priority managementAdaptabilityDesired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field5+ years' experience in system engineering or related rolesStrong knowledge of system administration and network configurationsExperience with cloud platforms and virtualization technologiesProficiency in scripting and automation toolsProficiency with MDM solutionsGood documentation practicesFirmware, BIOS, and hardware management Domain ManagementProactive Cybersecurity Experience in data sensitive environment Bell Ambulance can offer you an incredibly competitive wage and a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, FSA, HSA, and company-sponsored plans.
